Executive Coaching
STEPS IN THE EXECUTIVE COACHING PROCESS

The steps in the Partners In Leadership Executive Coaching Process, usually customized to address client needs, generally include the following activities:

  1. Kick-off meeting to outline coaching process goals and objectives,
  2. Individual leadership effectiveness assessment using 360° online surveys,
  3. Coaching session to review the results of the assessment (on-site workshop in the case of an entire team),
  4. On-going coaching sessions to assess and assist progress.

The Executive Coaching Process can concurrently involve one or many leaders from an organization. Entire leadership teams often enroll in the process, which allows for a team-oriented coaching design.

KICK-OFF MEETING

This initial meeting (which can be conducted by conference call) outlines the goals and objectives of the leader participating in the coaching process. In this meeting, the participant outlines what they would like to have happen, combined with any input on objectives from their organizational leaders. They also identify the people they would like to participate in their leadership effectiveness assessment. Executive Coaching

Half-day Workshop for Entire Team: When an entire team concurrently enrolls in the process, then the kick-off meeting can take the form of a half-day on-site workshop with the entire team. The Partners In Leadership Executive Coaching methodology takes advantage of the dynamics of leadership effectiveness in the team setting and can facilitate not only personal improvement, but also greater alignment and effectiveness of the overall team.

 

 

INDIVIDUAL LEADERSHIP ASSESSMENT

Partners In Leadership administers a 360° feedback assessment located on the Client Portal on their website, which is completed by the people the coaching participant identified. The assessments typically combine pre-determined 1-10 rating questions with customized open-ended questions. Partners in Leadership holds all assessment responses in the strictest confidence, sharing them only with the leader being coached.

COACHING SESSION

Executive Facilitators present the results of the on-line surveys, which are organized by theme and category for reporting purposes. The feedback is confidential and will be shared with others only to the extent the coaching participant chooses to do so. During the coaching session, Partners In Leadership Executive Facilitators apply the Accountability Training models, methodologies and tools to assist the leader in implementing the feedback into their leadership practice. In addition, they offer expert advice regarding the participant’s leadership role in the Accountability Training and how they can maximize the organization’s investment in the Partners In Leadership training curriculum and processes.

Half-day or Full-day Workshop for Entire Team: For a team participating in the coaching process, this coaching session generally takes the form of half or full-day workshop. Again, the workshop allows for working with the team in an interactive way and helps team members determine how they can support one another in their improvement objectives.

ON-GOING COACHING SESSION(S)

Additional coaching sessions are scheduled as needed to continue on-going support of the coaching participant’s overall objectives, to assess the progress that has been made and the progess that is still needed and to ensure the successful attainment of the stated leadership effectiveness improvement goals.
