Tanner has strategized with CEOs and executive teams throughout China, India, Thailand, Singapore, Australia and much of Europe. He is known as a very effective executive coach to senior leaders and is appreciated for his strategic thinking. He is very personable and well-liked by audiences all over the world.
His client consulting and training projects include engagements with companies like Hormel, Baxter Healthcare, Kellogg's, Synovus Financial, Entergy, Arizona State University, Jacobs Engineering, Northrop Grumman, SSM Health Care, Avery Dennison, Johnson Controls, Turner Broadcasting, Wrigley Manufacturing, and Sears. For years, Tanner has consulted with numerous healthcare plans across the country. His work with the largest single-state insurer in the country, helped to produce historic results as the organization experienced transformative change moving from being ranked 32nd out of 39 plans to being ranked as number one out of all plans in the nation.
Tanner regularly serves as the keynote speaker for major conferences and events. He has been the featured keynote speaker for the Bank Administration Institute and has spoken at numerous ASTD and SHRM events throughout the United States. Tanner was the featured keynote speaker at CHART's annual convention in New Orleans and is also a featured speaker for long-standing clients, like Arby's Restaurant Group, where he is regularly called upon to address their annual conferences.

Tanner received his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University and his MBA from the University of Missouri. Tanner has lived abroad and is proficient in the Spanish language. Tanner and his wife, Erin, have 3 children.
