John Grover is a Vice President and an Executive Facilitator for Partners In Leadership, Inc.
Upon receiving his graduate degree (Master in International Management), John was awarded a research grant to study international business around the world. Visiting countries such as Japan, Taiwan, Singapore, India, Iran, Turkey, Hungary, Germany, England and Mexico, he presented his research findings at the United Nations in New York.
With this serving as a jumping off point, John traveled the world with several companies, serving in both international marketing and sales positions, operations and training. He has experience in developing international markets, building distributorships and sales networks, engaging with foreign governments for plant start-ups, implementing MRP systems along with quality and process improvement initiatives, serving as a plant manager with P&L responsibility and as Vice-President and CIO. John was trained as a Malcolm Baldrige examiner and certified as an ISO 9000 internal auditor. He also served as a trainer and facilitator in a hi-tech 35,000 person organization and as that company's internal consultant for process improvement, visiting divisions throughout the United States and in Europe.
Besides the United Nations, John has spoken in New York at the request of the US Department of Commerce, at break-out sessions for a national conference of systems and logistics managers in New Orleans, and was acknowledged by the authors of the book, Customer Responsive Management, for assistance with their work. For his efforts in a pioneering study with organizational effectiveness issues concerning a US Army Reserve Command (10,000 persons), he was awarded the US Army Commendation Medal.
John brings more than twenty years of international business experience with him, having served at many levels in several capacities within organizations. His associations have reached into companies such as IBM, Accenture, Sprint, Hanes, Eaton and EG&G.
John and his wife, Carol, have two children and reside in Murrieta, CA. In his spare time, John enjoys managing his daughter's soccer team.
